If you like the look of an updo, but you don't really want something that formal, the partial updo is always an option.    There are so many different options for the half up/half down style.  You can wear your hair straight and smooth, curly, slightly wavy or messy.

To create the half updo hair styles shown on this page, you will need to add a styling cream throughout your hair.  Next, blow dry your hair using a large round brush.  Direct all long layers down and under.  Add soft waves and curls throughout using a medium barrel curling iron.  For extra height in the crown area, back comb sections of hair and smooth over the top with your fingers before pulling back into a low pony tail.

Attach a decorative pony tail holder, or even a barrette for added glamour.
